Dr Ritu Sharma, a consultant with Medanta under Dental sciences, has dedicated her career to saving natural teeth and designing naturally beautiful comfortable smiles. She accomplished her Masters in Conservative dentistry and Endodontics in 2001, from Manipal College of Dental Science, India. After her Masters she continued to consult for reputed private practices such as Apollo Clinics, Axiss Dental, Dr Gandhi’s South Delhi Orthodontic Centre; as well as, trained undergraduate and postgraduate students of dentistry, in reputed dental colleges in North India. In 2006, in her strive to keep herself updated with the latest advances in her field, she completed an intensive one year course in implantology with Dr Suvarna Nene, local tutor, Goethe University, Germany. She also updated herself in Occlusion, with Dr Madhvi Mhapuskar, Hon faculty, Kings College, London, in 2007, training in semiadjustible articulators, smile designing, bite analysis and correction. She completed a workshop with Dr Nicholas Amigoni, in procedural Periodontology, credited by the University of Chicago, in 2007. She was appointed as the Head of the Department, by Sharda University in 2010, and as Head of Department, by SGT University in 2015, as an administrator and supervisor for undergraduate and postgraduate dental course. She has done variety of research, and authored several scientific papers in international and national dental speciality journals.She has delivered guest lecture and scientific papers in national and international conferences. She believes that, a healthy comfortable and beautiful smile, is a means for aesthetic free expression, and a gateway to complete health. She practices patient centred safe ethical dentistry.
