Dr. Monika Jain is an experienced Gastroenterologist from New Delhi with Endoscopy, Endoscopy Ultrasound and Hepatology as areas of specialisation. She has completed MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, MD in Medicine from Safdarjung Hospital and DM in Gastroenterology from GB Pant Hospital. She secured distinction in Biochemistry and Forensic Medicine while pursuing MBBS. Dr. Jain has underwent special training in advanced pancreatic therapeutic ERCP at PVS Memorial Hospital Cochin under the guidance of leading therapeutic endoscopist of India Dr.Philip Augustine. 

In 1998, Dr. Jain started working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gastroenterology of GB Pant Hospital. She was involved in clinical management of patients, diagnostic & therapeutic endoscopy, research, teaching post graduates and DM fellows along with their endoscopic training as per the university curriculum. Her association with GB Pant further strengthen when Dr. Jain started working at its Department of Gastroenterology. She grabbed this opportunity to gain extensive experience in the field of GI endoscopy with special interest in diagnostic and advanced therapeutic work (ERCP, colonoscopy and UGI). During her stay at GB Pant Hospital, she was involved in organization and scientific activities of various national & international conferences, seminars and workshops. She was the member of the core committee for formulation of national guidance for management of Hepatitis B & C patients and was involved with various research projects of the departments. Dr. Jain also took great interest in organizing various national and international conferences and public forums during this period.

Dr. Jain was instrumental in organising below mentioned conferences

• 1996- National symposium on the prevention of Hepatiti-B (Delhi).
• 1996- International Conference on transfusion associated Hepatitis (Delhi).
• 1998- International Conference on Hepatitis B&C carrier to cancer-Asian perspective (Delhi).
• 2000- i4Acadima 200(T-A mega conference of twelve specialties (Delhi).
• 2000- Gastroenterology CME (Delhi).
• 2006- "Gastrocon"- 2006 (Deihi).
• 2009- "Gastrocon"- 2G09 (Delhi).
• 2012- "Pan Fortis Gastrocon" (Delhi).

She has also organized "Hepatitis Awareness Day" in December 1999 and 2000 as a part of joint effort by Government of NCT Delhi and GB Pant Hospital Delhi to spread awareness of Hepatitis among general public.

Since 2000, Dr. Jain has been associated with leading hospitals of Delhi such as Maharaja Agrasen Hospital and Fortis Hospital as Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist. She was a key member to set up centre for liver and digestive diseases at Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, Delhi

Dr. Jain is currently associated with Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute as Senior Consultant Gastroenterologist. Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute is equipped with Video Endoscopic Systems (UGI, LGI, ERCP & Enteroscope), Argon Plasma Coagulation System, Haemoclip Applicator & Endoscopic Suturing Device, Capsule Endoscopy, and High Resolution Manometry. Centre undertakes Endoscopic training course for doctors from all over India and abroad in addition to providing a dedicated teaching program for DNB fellows. Centre has provided training to candidates from UK, UAE, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Philippines, Albania, Iraq, Lebanon and Bangladesh
